DESCRIPTION:
E. Howard & Co., Boston, REGULATOR No. 59, smallest size timepiece with 6" dial, weight driven, 8-day, C.1880, in a walnut case, glazed sides & with ebonized accents, three carved finials at bottom and 3 turned finials at top.
CONDITION:
this clock was purchased from Peter Sawyer around 15 years ago, and has hung in the consignors upper mid-west home since. Has a nice birds-eye baffle; and one of the only #59 we have seen with the weight bearing the cast in number "59". There may be a better one, but we have not seen it. Overall excellent plus original condition. Ht 36"
